don’t worry, willa… i’m a hands-on dad myself and we exactly have the same sense of style, so to speak! hahaha!

only the book authors think there’re such things as super mom or ‘how to’ parenting out there that every parent should do. i think there is really none. it all boils down to being a more than a friend to your kids. that’s it. the more we get deeper to following the dreaded blacks & whites of the ‘good parenting’ books and ‘professional advises’ from the ‘parent authorities’, the more we get in deep s#!t. parenting, after all, is leaving & living a well-balanced relationship with your children. every parent knows what’s best for their children. it is their instincts that make them better parents.

Fickleminded – I love cereal for dinner! I often have a big bowl of Corn Flakes with a banana for my supper instead of a heavy meal of meat and potatoes. I love bacon and eggs with hashed browns for dinner too. I guess the “food police” will just have to arrest me!

I think sometimes we are all a little too obsessed with “clean”. Bathing too often dries out the body’s natural oils – it’s no wonder we spend so much on moisturizers! A little dirt helps build a child’s immune system!

BTW, I’m keeping an eye on you – I know you’re going to grab all the Tootsie Rolls out of your boys Halloween sacks! You alluded to that fact in your comment on my blog!

*GASP* I don’t know how they’ll ever grow up normal!!! I think your kids will look back one day and think about how much fun they had. Who knows how I grew up turning out (somewhat)normal when I spent my childhood in the 70s!

willa, i understand you. Now that I have my own boy who just turned 1 this month, I am hoping to be a much better mom, too. I know I won’t and can’t be perfect but I’ll try my best, too.

Nicholas is right. If you guys are happy, then that’s good rather than living the strict life for your boys where everything is neat and in order but they aren’t happy at all, di ba?
