Patrick will gonna start the Summer Reading Program tommorow at the local library, I didn’t asked him . but when he went to the library to return his books (library is only a few blocks away from us,I can see the roof top from our apt deck), he took home a flyers about the activity and he told me he want to join the program, so I called in to register him, it will start tommorow, It’ll run for 6 weeks, every Monday. I’m so happy the he initiate on joining, at least I know he enjoy reading. When he took home his report card last week, I’m so glad to see plenty of A’s and his lowest grade is B+, he also got an award for Language and Arts Excellency. I’m really proud of him being smart ( just like mommy, he he he he) kidding aside, finally! me being SAHM is paying off, one of my very strict aunt once told us that if you are a SAHM you are expected to raised a smart child. And I think she’s right, I mean I didn’t spend 5 years in university for nothing, and not because I’m SAHM it doesn’t mean it all goes to waste, just like other narrowminded people think, of course not! but instead I use it to help my son rather than being a corporate slave. I already gave them 10 years of my life. I was a fresh high school graduate when I started working as a Secretary in one of the biggest appliances company in the Philippines, then after getting my degree in Computer Engineering, I transfer to another big computer company, and I ditched them 10 years ago, now seeing my kids love for learning makes me more than happy, I can do it again in a blink of an eye!

That is a perfect way to spend summer. Our guidance and nourishment as a good person makes them whole and inspired.

I am proud of Patrick asking to go to the Lib on his own! Reading really helps. Being a SAHM is a full time job and I’m glad you made that choice, staying with them during their formative years.
P.S. Thank you for pointing int out on OWM. Zee said it is a blogger problem and she was able to resolve it just now. Once again, many thanks. See you around.
