Spare A Penny!

My family and relatives back in my home country, Philippines, is one of the many victims of killer typhoon,Ondoy, that attack 3 days ago. It was the worst typhoon record that hit the part of Luzon. Two days after not hearing anything from them, my sister sent me a text message today that they literally lost everything and no money to buy a food, there’s no way for them to ask help from others because, they too are a victim.
I already send them some of my own, even my son Patrick is so willing to give them the money he got for his birthday. I am now asking my fellow bloggers if you can spare a penny out of your paypal account,credit card or debit card .I would appreciate it more than anything. It breaks my heart because living far away from them, this is the only thing I can do. I wish I could do more.

Worst Flood in 50 Years Hit Manila.

Updates thru sms from my sister.

  • My mom (btw, she’s 74 yo) is still in a shelter place provided by the local gov. she’s there together with my nieces and nephews (age range 5 to 14 yrs old)
  • Their school stuff was also ruined and useless.
  • There’s no decent food and clean water available.
  • Our house was totally wiped out together with all their belongings (household appliances,clothes,shoes, etc..etc..)
  • My sisters can’t go to work, no means of transportation, their workplace is also flooded.
  • No electricity until now.
  • They are all tired,sleepless and hungry. Frown

    Willa, we don’t have the money this week. Walter was laid over fo 4 days due to a fuel leak in his tank. Keep the donate button up and we will do what we can next week.

    I was heart sick when I read your comment about your family!! We will keep you and everyone in our prayers!!

    sis, i sent you a little amount. i hope it can help in a small way. i’ve got loved ones in Pasay, too who were flooded but they’re fine. hanggang tuhod lang daw yung sa kanila so some of their stuff were saved. we also send them some help. i’m really in tears with the whole situation. we continue to keep your family in our prayers…

    Sorry to hear about your family stranded there. For my part, I am also having something up on my site to raise the awareness as well as to direct people to the different places where they can drop off relief goods as well as donations. God bless your family and everyone else affected by Ondoy.
