We spend our weekend as usual, like do some grocery and just be lazy because it’s Saturday. Another fun part of being married to another nationalities is the joy of grocery shopping. Anyway, we usually do our grocery at the local grocery store in town but since I’m not American or Canadian, I don’t think I’ll get use to their kind of food or the way they eat. I mean, I can eat steak, pizza,burgers from time to time but I can’t last a day or two without eating rice or without eating my native food. So we have to have a separate budget for buying Filipino stuff at the Asian store.And since we don’t go there frequently, I make sure that I always stock up some of the food that I really like,so just in case my cravings attack me, I can just cook it anytime I want.But today is my lucky day and here’s what I bought;
And since I’m not a good cook. I can’t cooked from scratch, I always make sure I have all the ready mix of Mama Sita’s

Patrick asked for some Balut, he like eating it, just the yellow part not the chick,
Hubby asked me what is it, I told him it’s an egg, like what kind of egg, I told him I don’t know, we just called it Balut, but he still keep on asking, so I told him it’s an Aborted Chicken

Hahaha, did you make him try the balut? They find it weird. I like balut so much, pampalakas ng tuhod and pancit canton is still the best!

Is the balut made in Canada? Does it taste as good as the one we have back home? I like my balut na may malaking bird sa loob.

Since I am only 7 miles away from the Filipino store, it is still an effort for me to go. I ran out of rice for three weeks now, and I have not cooked rice yet! But when I go there, I make sure I stock up too. For Mama Sita’s I like the palobok mix!
Hehehe, I do not eat balut, only the yolk part!
Have a great weekend Willa!
